Michael is motivated by his firm belief that anything is possible. “If you want it bad enough and focus on the end goal, you will achieve it. I’m an optimist to the extreme. My glass is full, not half full.” That positive attitude extends to his team.
Michael co-founded WEICHERT, REALTORS® – New Colony in February 2007, as part of the Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, Inc. franchise. This linked New Colony Realtors, co-founded by Michael McKenna and David Vane in October of 2004, to one of the nation’s largest private providers of real estate services. The technology, training and marketing programs provided by Weichert help the McKenna Real Estate group to provide the service of yesterday with the technology of tomorrow.
Michael is a member of the Howard County Association of Realtors®, the Maryland Association of Realtors®, the National Association of Realtors®, and the Howard County Chamber of Commerce. He is president of the Mid-Atlantic Broker Council, Weichert Real Estate Affiliates.
Michael grew up in Burtonsville, Md., and now resides in Columbia, Md. He graduated from Frostburg State University in 1999 with a bachelor of science degree in health and physical science with a minor in business management.
He donates to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, donates time and resources to Toys for Tots, and supports and sponsors The Columbia Home Tours.
